For years, magazines have gone far beyond the printed page, but what does it mean when a magazine goes digital first? Join us for a panel discussion on March 2 (evening) in Toronto, where we will discuss the logistics behind making the web a magazine’s primary platform. How does breaking a story online affect a print product? And what does assigning a digital-first story look like?
Laura deCarufel, editor-in-chief of The Kit (a magazine that was initially a digital-only publication); Edward Fraser, managing editor of digitally-minded The Hockey News, and Lianne George, editor-in-chief of Chatelaine, will talk about practices from their magazines and answer questions about going digital first.
