Not sure how your team can afford to create engaging videos? We’re about to tell you why you can’t afford not to. Strategic videos designed for YouTube, social media platforms and beyond can be inexpensive and attract advertisers. Join us for breakfast at the Gardiner Museum as we talk how to create video content on a budget, and how to use video to engage readers and open up innovative sponsorship opportunities. The morning’s speakers include:
Dylan is a video producer for Blue Ant Media, where he writes, shoots, and edits short-form videos for six media brands across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and websites. His top video has garnered 12 million views, and he grew the YouTube audience for Cottage Life DIY from 3,000 to 254,000 in four months.
Noreen Flanagan has been in the biz for 20+ years working as a reporter, writer and editor. In August 2017, she became editor-in-chief at FASHION. Prior to that, she had a 15-year run at ELLE Canada, where, for six of those years, she was EIC. During her time there, she and her multi-platform editorial team were responsible for the magazine winning numerous awards, including Best Magazine for 2016 by the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors (CSME). Noreen was named Editor of the Year by the CSME that same year. Noreen is known for championing innovative co-branded multi-platform initiatives, such as the ELLE Canada Closet and the first “shoppable videos” in the Canadian magazine market. She also launched the first live cover shoots and the first cover shot in virtual reality, all of which garnered international media attention. At FASHION she has experimented with covers, creating a multiple flap flipbook in April and a peel-to-reveal cover for FASHION’s summer
issue. To celebrate the magazine’s 40th anniversary in November, Noreen commissioned UK artist Benjamine Shine to create a tulle sculpture of a model for the cover. The sculpture was auctioned at the anniversary party and the proceeds were used to launch a fund to support emerging fashion talent at Ryerson University. She has appeared on eTalk, Global, CBC Television, CBC Radio, BNN, Celebrity Style Story and Entertainment Tonight.
