The Canadian Society of Magazine Editors was established to be the voice of Canadian magazine editors.

INFORMATIVE, ENTERTAINING LUNCHEONS AND MIXERS
CSME hosts a minimum of two luncheons and two evening mixers, which feature dynamic guest speakers addressing topics that are relevant, timely and engaging for Canadian editors. And join us for our annual summer barbecue - no speakers, no professional development, just relaxed fun with your editing colleagues.
Last year's highlights included:
- Is There Power in a Union ? An in-depth look at the proposed freelancer union and what it means for editors, presented by Peter Murdoch, Vice President Media of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada.
- Trash Talk: The Gossip Mag Mixer with Alison Eastwood of Weekly Scoop , Shelley Middelbrook of Hello! and Geoffrey Dawe of Inside Entertainment dishing the dirt on gossip magazine.
- Cover to Cover At last year's sell-out seminar, an educational session at Mags U, international packaging guru Dale Hrabi shared his secrets on smart editorial packaging.
