The Canadian Society of Magazine Editors’ Mentorship Program seeks to connect editors with different levels of achievement in order to form mutually beneficial mentorship relationships that will help all participants develop their skills and reach their career goals.
The Mentorship Program connects editors so that more senior editors might pass on their advice and wisdom to more junior editors. It’s a way for both parties to expand their networks, gain insight on their career paths, and connect with other members of the publishing and greater media community.
Mentors and mentees will meet once every two months for one hour, for a total of six one-hour meetings per year. Mentees are responsible for checking in with the CSME Mentorship Program coordinator (at email@example.com) to report on how the meetings are going.
The mentor-mentee relationship may be dissolved at either time, at either party’s request.
